The website to donate is https://www.ellishouse313.com/ Elli's House is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving homeless and runaway women involved in human trafficking in the city of Detroit. Our mission is to abolish sex trafficking in the city of Detroit through building relationships, offering safe shelter, and providing education. Elli's House was founded in 2017 by Deb Ellinger, a native Detroiter. While working with teen girls who were consistently running away from home, there was a clear need for a shelter in the city. Out of this need, Deb began Elli's House. What began as an attempt to fill a need, has grown into a full non-profit organization. Today, we have a two-year residential shelter program and a middle school mentoring program, and we provide food, hygiene, and clothing to survivors weekly through street outreach. Congratulations to our 2025 1Q winner:

Community Catalysts
Supports seniors, veterans, homeless and other low income people by funding and developing quality affordable housing and services. Our goal is to be the catalyst - to get a stalled project started, to fill a gap to keep a project going, to fund a project that others may not be willing to fund, or work with a developer/partner in a way that others will not. We are a small, nimble team and are able to move quickly to get a project approved. We care about the people and communities that our projects serve. We strive to serve more people in Michigan and throughout the Midwest through our collaborative partnerships.

Kids at Heart
Amount Donated: $10,000.00!!!
KidsKids at Heart is a nonprofit organization established in Michigan with the mission to provide mentorship to youth, support underprivileged children, low-income families, and single parent homes facing challenging circumstances with clothes, school supplies, birthday parties, holiday gifts, and other essential necessities. We serve as a community to provide self-help to kids experiencing personal difficulties. We believe it is important to listen to the hopes and dreams of every kid and single parent, and to offer them resources and tools towards a successful and productive lifestyle. It is our goal to help others overcome their limitations and break the barriers to life challenges. Without the continued support of our community, this would not be possible! To make this a reality, we rely on volunteerism, local partnerships and support from many local business and organizations.
KIDS AT HEART UPDATE 11/6/23!!!!
Thank you to the 100 Women Who Care Program for blessing Kids at Heart in May 2023 with funding. Kids at Heart has planned events to make a huge impact in our community. Kids at Heart spent the summer months June and July planning our annual back to school event. We partnered with another nonprofit organization to host a big event on August 18th. This back-to-school event will be hosted in Detroit MI,. We will have free school supplies, Fresh the clown’s entertainment, games, art shows, prizes, and food. An event to not only give back to the community before school starts but to help children be successful by being prepared with supplies.
Kids at Heart is also sponsoring another Back-to-school event held in Garden City MI. This event will have games, bounce houses, raffles, basketball tournaments and prizes for the kids as well as school supply giveaways. This event hosted on August 24th.
We will be starting to hand out after school snack packs to children in underprivileged areas to make sure that they have breakfast, snacks, and dinners on the weekend. These packs will include things like oatmeal, pop tarts, fruit snacks, ravioli. Things that are easy for children to make.
Kids at Heart has also started to plan our Thanksgiving event coming up in November. We will sponsor families with full Thanksgiving meals and turkey give aways. Planning is still underway, but we hope to help over 100 families in the community with food.
Thank you for the opportunity to be able to really get Kids at Heart off the ground and to be able to make an impact in surrounding communities.

8/7/23 UPDATE!!!
TEAD One Artist in Residency Program and how the funding from 100 Women Who Care has impacted our program:
The TEAD One Artist in Residence Program was blessed with funding from the 100 Women Who Care Program on February 6th, 2023. This critical funding has had a huge impact on our program and allowed us to participate in the following events:
We hosted several community mural projects during Dearborn’s April Art Month.
We were a partner for the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy’s South West Greenway opening ceremony and the grand opening of “The Yard”, an outdoor graffiti museum.
We are a contributing sponsor for Dearborn’s Annual Paint Out in the Park event.
We have a group art show at Crain’s Communication Brewery Park location for the month of July. We will provide refreshments for the opening reception which is open to the public.
We launched our first Veterans Open Studio Art Group on June 14th. This is a free event for any Veteran who is interested in art. We open our studio and provide a welcoming, calm space where Veterans can be a part of a supportive art community. We supply all art materials or they can bring work from home. This program is led by our alum resident artist and U.S. Navy Veteran, Matt Thornton.
We provided two booths for our artists for the Palmer Park Art Fair on June 3rd & 4th.
We are very grateful for this wonderful gift of funding!

American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) Eastern Michigan WOW Chapter
Nominated By: Kristina Karschnia
TOTAL DONATION: $ 6400.00!!!!!!!!!!!
Mission: American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) Eastern Michigan WOW Chapter is the first winner of the 100 Women Who Care Manufacturing!!
The ARRA was founded to recognize and preserve the history and legacy of the working women and volunteers during WWII. During WWII women all over the United States walked away from their careers and homemaker rolls to support the war effort to bring the boys home. These nontraditional female assignments were in factories and construction sites to fill all the jobs that the men were called away from. These iconic women broke the glass ceiling for all of us and the perception of what women were capable of doing in 1941. The Eastern Michigan Chapter – lead by President Bette Kenward, is looking for support to get the thriving Rosie's on an Honor Flight March 2023 to Washington DC. Many of these wonderful ladies are 99 years + Rosie Fran Masters will be celebrating her 101 birthday at the event and is very honored and excited to be recognized during Internationals Women’s Month in Washington.
2/15/23 UPDATE
There are 9 lovely ladies that are registered to go to Washington DC March 27th to be recognized as part of International Women’s Day.
This project was a dream in the works for sometime and the catalyst to kick this off was the donation/support of the 100 Women Who Care Manufacturing. Since then the outpouring of support from the community and our own Fox 2 News has sparked additional
financial support.
American Rosie will not be eligible to be nominated again for one calendar year.
